About Becky Heappey Eventing

Born in 1989, Becky grew up as one of four siblings in the village of Medmenham, Buckinghamshire. Becky's family are very sporty and despite her parent's best endeavours to sway her towards any other sport, Becky’s only real love was for horses and riding. It took an awful lot of persuasion to start riding lessons so how Becky ever managed to secure her first pony she will never know. However one thing led to another and at the age of 14 Becky had her first taste of eventing on her 14.2 pony "Bluey" whom she produced herself from a five year old. Becky progressed through the Pony Club and had several good results at the Championships. Since then, Becky’s most notable achievements to date include:

  • 9th place at Luhmuhlen Horse Trials (2019) (DHI Babette K).

  • 13th place at Burghley Horse Trials 2019 (DHI Babette K).

  • 17th place and winner of the Land Rover Perpetual Challenge Trophy for the best first-timer in her 5* debut at Burghley Horse Trials 2017 (Charlton Down Riverdance)
